UpLead Pricing 2026: Credits, Plans, Annual Terms and the Real Cost per Verified Contact

UpLead pricing 2026: plans from $74 a month billed yearly, $0.37 to $0.58 a credit and a 60-day notice rule
AUTHOR:

Publish date: Nov 4, 2026

UpLead costs $99 to $199 a month on its two self-serve plans, Essentials and Plus. Billed yearly, the same plans drop to $74 and $149 a month, and every credit buys one contact. The Professional plan is custom and annual only.

The list price is the easy part. The 7-day trial turns into an $890 annual plan unless you cancel first. Annual plans then need 60 days' notice before they renew. This post puts UpLead's fine print in one place and prices the same jobs per lead.

UpLead pricing: plans and credits

UpLead homepage: real-time verified B2B emails, mobile numbers and intent data, with a Grab 5 Free Leads button
The five free leads on the homepage come with a card on file and a seven-day clock.

UpLead sells two self-serve plans, a custom plan and a trial. Essentials and Plus bill monthly or yearly. Professional comes yearly only, at a price UpLead quotes on a call.

Plus$199400$149 a month (about $1,788 a year)4,8001
Professionalnot offeredcustomcustom quote, annual onlycustomunlimited

Yearly plans list their credits by the year: 2,040 on Essentials and 4,800 on Plus. Monthly plans come with 170 or 400 credits a month.

The feature gates follow the price. Essentials includes the CRM integration, with 15 named CRM and outreach tools plus Zapier. Plus adds enrichment, technographics and suppression lists. Professional adds intent data, full API access, team management and unlimited users.

Monthly plans carry no contract. UpLead's pricing FAQ says so in one line: "Our monthly plans have no contract or long-term commitment. Our Professional plan is annual."

If ZoomInfo is the other name on your shortlist, our UpLead vs ZoomInfo comparison covers data and price side by side.

UpLead cost per credit and per contact

UpLead prices in credits, and the rule is short. One credit equals one contact, and it unlocks the email and any phone number UpLead holds for that person. UpLead's download guide adds one protection: "Credits are only charged for valid emails."

What a credit costs depends on the plan and on how many you use. Our arithmetic on list prices:

PlanPriceCreditsPer credit, all usedPer credit, half used
Essentials, monthly$99 a month170$0.58$1.16
Essentials, yearly$890 a year2,040$0.44$0.87
Plus, monthly$199 a month400$0.50$1.00
Plus, yearly$1,788 a year4,800$0.37$0.75

The half-use column is the one to watch. Credits sit inside a subscription, so a quiet month raises the price of every contact you did download. A Plus month with half its credits used costs $1.00 a contact, not $0.50.

Email-only jobs pay full price, because UpLead does not price the phone number separately. A list for a cold email campaign costs the same credit as a list with direct dials. On the yearly Plus plan that is $0.37 an email at full use. Tools that price per lead split the two, which matters later in this post.

Enrichment of your own list uses the same unit. UpLead charges one credit per enriched contact and refunds the credit when it finds no match. You can re-download the enriched file without spending more credits.

One number needs its scope. UpLead's "95% data accuracy" applies at the point of download. Its help center says the figure does not guarantee zero bounces when you send. If your sender reputation matters, budget a verifier pass on top.

UpLead contract terms: five checks

UpLead's help center spreads its terms across a dozen articles. These five decide what you pay.

1. The trial becomes an annual plan

The trial asks for a card up front. UpLead's sign-up guide tells you to "enter your payment details (no immediate charges)" and bills nothing until after Day 7.

After Day 7, the plan switches: "Your subscription will automatically switch to the Essentials Annual Plan." The card then takes $890 for the year. UpLead sends a reminder two days before the charge. Cancel inside the trial if you only wanted the 5 credits.

Some reviewers describe the same surprise. One UK reviewer on Trustpilot wrote: "Was then charged close to £700."

On TrustRadius, one reviewer called the pricing "Incredibly DECEPTIVE". Another reports a charge of $1,236.02 after 7 days. Those are reviewers' claims. We have not seen the invoices.

2. Annual plans need 60 days' notice

The contract article says all plans "renew automatically to ensure uninterrupted access". A canceled monthly plan runs to the end of its billing cycle. Annual plans, Professional included, need 60 days' notice before the renewal date. Miss the window and the next year bills.

That window closes earlier than it sounds. On a 365-day term, the last day to give notice is day 305. After a trial, the year starts on day 7, so the deadline is day 312. Put it in the calendar the day you pay.

Miss the notice deadline by a day and the plan renews for another full year.

3. Essentials and Plus are single-user

Both self-serve plans come with one user. A second rep needs a second subscription or a move to Professional, which comes with unlimited users and team management. The quotes further down show what UpLead charges when a team of two to four asks for one contract.

4. Extra credits cost $0.60 or $0.50

Run out mid-month and you buy more. Extra credits cost $0.60 on Essentials and $0.50 on Plus. They come in preset packs of 100 to 5,000 credits. UpLead caps credit purchases at $2,000 a day.

An extra credit costs the same as a plan credit at full use, or more. If you top up Essentials by 170 credits a month or more, Plus costs less, by our arithmetic. An upgrade bills right away and allocates the new credits at once.

5. Pausing keeps credits, closing loses them

UpLead offers a $2-a-month pause. A paused account keeps its unused credits, saved searches and past downloads, but it cannot run new searches or downloads. Closing the account is different: "You will immediately lose access to all of your unused credits."

A downgrade sits in between. UpLead says remaining credits "roll over to your new plan based on its terms". UpLead's help center does not say what happens to unused credits at a normal renewal. Ask before you sign.

UpLead team quotes from sales calls

Eight recent sales calls with Spona prospects mentioned UpLead. Three of them produced a price: two verbal quotes and one invoice. All three covered a team of two to four seats with 6,000 credits a year.

Company sizeSeatsCredits a yearPrice a yearPer creditPer seat a yearLine type
10 to 49 employees26,000$2,317$0.39$1,158verbal quote
50 to 249 employees36,000$2,272$0.38$757invoice
250+ employees46,000$2,194$0.37$548verbal quote

Three things stand out. The per-credit price sits within two cents of the public Plus yearly rate, with two to four seats in the deal. The stated discounts ran from 4.1% to 7.5%. The invoice carried a 4.8% renewal increase, which puts its second year near $2,381 by our arithmetic.

Two of the three lines auto-renew. Read them as quotes and an invoice heard on calls, not as UpLead's public Plus plan. That plan is single-user, with 4,800 credits a year. For other tools' prices, see our ZoomInfo pricing and Lusha pricing posts.

UpLead vs Spona: pay per lead

Spona homepage at sponasales.com: from a chat to qualified sales leads in about 4 minutes
Spona charges per lead after a one-time search session, so an email-only list stays cheap.

Spona prices the lead, not the seat. You describe your ideal customer in a chat. The AI mines 40+ sources, verifies every lead and delivers a scored list in about 4 minutes.

Each new search session costs a one-time 1,000 credits. That is $8 to $10, depending on the plan. After that, every lead has its own price, shown at checkout, and every search starts with a free sample.

The Free plan carries 3,000 one-time credits. Pro costs $99 a month for 10,500 credits. Premium and Expert buy credits at a lower unit price, and the pricing page lists every plan.

Spona search typeCredits a leadDollars a lead
Standard Search, email only3 to 7$0.024 to $0.07
Standard Search, email and mobile35 to 55$0.28 to $0.55
Deep Search60 to 200$0.48 to $2.00
Bulk Search1 to 9$0.008 to $0.09

Take the 400-contact job from the Plus plan. UpLead charges $0.50 a contact on the monthly plan, phone number or not. For leads with a mobile number, Spona charges $0.30 to $0.58 once you add the search session, by our calculation. Those two land close together.

Email only, they do not. UpLead still takes one credit, while Spona takes 3 to 7. Our calculation for the job, session included: $17.60 to $38. That is $0.044 to $0.095 a contact, a fifth of UpLead's price or less.

Side-by-side cost of 400 contacts on an UpLead Plus month and on Spona Standard Search, with and without mobile numbers
With mobile numbers the two cost about the same; email only, Spona costs a fifth or less.

One $99 month buys different things too. UpLead's Essentials gives 170 contacts, and Spona's Pro gives 10,500 credits. By our arithmetic, that covers one search session and 172 to 271 leads with a mobile number. Email only, the same month covers 1,357 to 3,166 leads.

UpLead is stronger where a team needs direct dials in volume, wants a Salesforce sync, or wants a pause that keeps credits. Spona is stronger on email-only lists and on knowing the price before you buy. In Spona's audit, 2,941 of 3,017 records were correct on person, employer and title.

UpLead pricing FAQ

Does UpLead have a free trial?

Yes. The UpLead free trial runs 7 days with 5 credits and one user, and it needs a card at sign-up. On Day 7 it becomes the Essentials Annual plan at $890 unless you cancel first. UpLead emails a reminder two days before the charge.

Is UpLead legit?

Yes, judging by its review scores. More than 800 reviewers rate UpLead 4.7 of a possible five stars. On Capterra the score is 4.6, with 4.7 for value for money. Its Trustpilot score sits lower at 4.2, and one-star reviews there cite poor data, hard cancellations and charges after the trial.

Is UpLead worth it?

For one user who needs US emails and direct dials with a CRM push, and who will use most of the credits, yes. At $0.37 to $0.58 a contact, a verified email plus any phone UpLead holds is fairly priced. A team needs Professional or a custom quote, because Essentials and Plus hold one user each. It is a poor fit for email-only outreach, where a credit still costs full price.

What are the alternatives to UpLead?

The usual reasons to look elsewhere are the single-user plans, the annual terms and phone coverage. Our best B2B data providers list ranks the field. For a specific switch, see ZoomInfo alternatives, Lusha alternatives and RocketReach alternatives. For pay per lead without a seat, Spona's pricing page shows the price per lead before you buy.

How do I cancel UpLead?

Monthly plans carry no long-term commitment and renew month to month until you cancel. Annual plans need 60 days' notice before the renewal date, or the next year bills. If you want to keep unused credits while you decide, the $2-a-month pause holds them. Closing the account forfeits them.
