10 Crunchbase Alternatives for Prospecting in 2026: Funding, Company and Contact Data

Publish date: Oct 23, 2026
Crunchbase Pro costs "$99 billed monthly" per license and exports "up to 2K rows monthly". Those rows describe companies: funding history, investors, leadership changes and growth scores. The plan descriptions include no email or phone allowance.
That gap is why sales teams look for Crunchbase alternatives: a lower price, a free option, or the people behind a funding round. This list compares 10 Crunchbase competitors by the data they sell, with prices read on each vendor's own pages, and Spona data on companies funded in the past 12 months in four countries.

Crunchbase pricing in 2026: what Crunchbase Pro pricing buys a sales team
Crunchbase's help center prices Pro at "$99 billed monthly", or with an "Introductory Offer: 38% off Crunchbase Pro Annual for new users (first year only)", which it puts at "just $588" for that first year. The plan cards on its pricing page render in the browser and could not be read for this post, so the Business and enterprise figures below come from third parties, are labeled that way and are not Crunchbase list prices.
| Crunchbase plan | Price | Exports | What it adds |
| Pro, monthly billing | "$99 billed monthly" (Crunchbase) | Up to 2K rows a month | Funding history, investor data, leadership changes, Growth and Heat Scores, alerts |
| Pro, annual billing | "just $588" for the first year with the 38% new-user offer (Crunchbase); later years not published | Up to 2K rows a month | Same data as monthly |
| Business | No price on Crunchbase's pages; "Starts around $199/month" per ZoomInfo, not a Crunchbase list price | Up to 5K rows a month | Private market predictions, SSO and seat management |
| API and enterprise pricing | "Talk to Sales"; enterprise contracts "typically start at $50,000+ annually" per Vendr, not a Crunchbase price | Unlimited, through sales | Data feed for your own systems |
| Crunchbase free trial | 7 days of Pro | None during the trial | Pro features |

Crunchbase pitches Pro as "a solution for individuals who need to find high-potential companies" and Business as "a solution for teams who need to prioritize opportunities at scale". For a three-person sales team, the Crunchbase Pro price on monthly billing is $297 a month, or $3,564 a year. Contracts tracked by Vendr run higher: a median of $20,000 a year across 71 Crunchbase purchases, from $4,440 to $51,377.
The seat buys company research, not contacts. The Pro page lists signals, alerts and exports but no email or phone allowance, and two competitors make the same point: UpLead calls Crunchbase's contact data "thin" and Knock AI lists "Limited direct contact-level enrichment". The Crunchbase free trial lasts 7 days, and "exporting capabilities are not available during the free 7-day subscription trial period".
Crunchbase alternatives at a glance: funding, company or contact data
Websites and companies like Crunchbase fall into three groups, so choose by the job. For research on rounds and investors, the funding databases (PitchBook, CB Insights, Dealroom, Harmonic, Tracxn) replace Crunchbase directly. For company records in bulk, Coresignal sells data by API. For reaching people, the contact tools (Spona, Apollo.io, ZoomInfo, Sales Navigator) supply what Crunchbase leaves out. Our B2B data providers guide covers the wider market.
| # | Tool | Data it sells | Price on its own page | Free option |
| 1 | Spona | Verified contacts at companies you describe, including funded ones | $0.32 to $4 per qualified lead; bulk leads $0.01 to $0.09 | Free plan with sample leads |
| 2 | Apollo.io | Contacts and email sequencing | No readable price; $79 per user a month on annual billing per Apollo's articles, not a confirmed checkout price | Free plan |
| 3 | ZoomInfo | Contacts and company data; funding info on Copilot Advanced | Quote only | Free trial |
| 4 | LinkedIn Sales Navigator | People search; emails not a listed feature | Core US$119.99 a month or US$1,079.88 a year per license | Trial for members without a paid plan |
| 5 | PitchBook | Private-market deals and investors | Quote only | Trial on request |
| 6 | CB Insights | Company, market and funding data | Request pricing | 10-day free trial |
| 7 | Dealroom | Startups and funding rounds, European focus | Premium €250 per seat a month, paid 12 months up front | 3-day trial, 50 export credits |
| 8 | Harmonic | Startups, people and investors | Quote only | MCP trial credits |
| 9 | Tracxn | Private company tracking | Not verified | Not verified |
| 10 | Coresignal | Company, employee and job records by API | Mini $49 a month for 2,500 credits | 7-day trial, 2,000 free credits |
10 Crunchbase alternatives and competitors for prospecting
Each of these alternatives to Crunchbase gets its official logo, its homepage, the price from its own pricing page where one is published, and a verdict against Crunchbase. If you are also weighing PitchBook alternatives or CB Insights alternatives, Dealroom, Harmonic and Tracxn cover much of the same ground.
1. Spona

Spona is a contact-data alternative, not a funding database. You describe your ideal customer in a chat, for example UK fintechs that raised money in the last six months; the AI mines 40+ sources, verifies every lead and delivers a scored list in about 4 minutes, and you pay per lead. Spona's public prices put qualified leads at $0.32 to $4 and bulk leads at $0.01 to $0.09, and its pricing page adds a one-time setup of 1,000 credits ($8 to $10) per new ideal customer profile. Beats Crunchbase on: verified work emails delivered with each account. Trails it on: investor research and funding history.
2. Apollo.io

Apollo.io pairs a contact database with email sequencing. Its pricing page names Free, Basic, Professional and Custom plans without readable prices; Apollo's own articles cite Professional at $79 per user per month on annual billing, which is not a confirmed checkout price. "Credits are pooled across your entire team." More in our Apollo.io pricing breakdown. Beats Crunchbase on: emails and sending in one tool, plus a free plan. Trails it on: investor and round history; it is built to contact people, not to research deals.
3. ZoomInfo

ZoomInfo sells contact and company data without public prices: its pricing page shows "Get Pricing" instead. Professional includes "Mobile numbers & business email", Copilot Advanced lists "Social links, funding info and tech insights", and a free trial is available. Our ZoomInfo pricing guide covers the plans. Beats Crunchbase on: contact data, with funding info listed on Copilot Advanced. Trails it on: price transparency; every plan is quoted.
4. LinkedIn Sales Navigator

Sales Navigator searches LinkedIn's member profiles for the people at an account. LinkedIn's plans page lists Core at US$119.99 a month per license or US$1,079.88 a year, and Advanced at US$159.99 a month or US$1,799.88 a year; Advanced Plus is custom. Email addresses are not a listed feature, the gap one SDR lead described to Spona: "I can find the right person, but I still need a usable work email for our outreach workflow." Beats Crunchbase on: finding the person. Trails it on: investor and round history; neither lists email addresses as a feature.
5. PitchBook

PitchBook sells private-market data for deal sourcing, deal execution and market intelligence. Its pricing page publishes no price: "Pricing options vary depending on how many seats you need and your firm type," with Direct Data and CRM integration as add-ons. In Spona sales conversations, buyers put a 3-user budget at $25,000 to $40,000 a year, which is not a vendor quote. If you are shopping for PitchBook alternatives too, compare Dealroom's published seat prices first. Beats Crunchbase on: depth for deal sourcing and execution, its stated focus. Trails it on: price; no plan is published.
6. CB Insights

CB Insights covers "12 million companies" and "1,600+ markets". Its Browser Analyst, Strategy Terminal and Data Solutions plans all show "Request pricing". Browser Analyst includes "Contact information for key executives", and Strategy Terminal adds management contact data plus funding and valuation data. A 10-day free trial is offered. Beats Crunchbase on: market analysis and executive contacts in one plan. Trails it on: price transparency; Crunchbase at least publishes Pro.
7. Dealroom

Dealroom tracks startups and funding rounds with a European focus, and it publishes prices. On its pricing page, Premium is "€250 per seat / month" (€30,000 a year for 10 seats, billed annually) and Premium Plus "€325 per seat / month"; Enterprise is custom. Plans run from 3 to 20 seats, and "You pay for 12 months up front." Premium includes 3,000 business email credits, and the "3-day free trial, no card required" comes with 50 export credits. Beats Crunchbase on: published team pricing and email credits. Trails it on: flexibility; there is no monthly billing.
8. Harmonic

Harmonic calls itself "The startup discovery engine" and counts "40 million companies," "200 million people" and "250 thousand investors" on its pricing page. Its Console, API and Bulk data plans show "Get pricing", and "Financing and investor data" is an add-on on API and Bulk. Trial access comes as MCP trial credits. Beats Crunchbase on: people data beside each company, with bulk delivery. Trails it on: price transparency; funding data costs extra on the data plans.
9. Tracxn

Tracxn tracks private companies for investors and corporate teams; its homepage claims 8.4M+ companies, from unfunded startups to unicorns. Its pricing page blocks automated readers and third-party figures for it conflict, so this post quotes no Tracxn price: ask Tracxn for a quote. Beats Crunchbase on: claimed breadth, 8.4M+ companies against the 4M+ private companies Crunchbase cites, though each vendor counts differently. Trails it on: price transparency.
10. Coresignal

Coresignal sells company, employee and job records by API and in bulk, with 70M+ companies and 907M+ employee records on its pricing page. Mini costs $49 a month for 2,500 credits, Starter $199 a month for 12,000 credits ($2,149 a year) and Growth $1,000 a month at "$0.007/credit". A full company record takes 20 credits and a found email 10, so a company record costs about $0.33 on Starter and $0.14 on Growth. The free tier is a 7-day trial with 2,000 credits. Beats Crunchbase on: published per-record prices. Trails it on: predictable spend; every refresh uses credits.
Crunchbase API alternatives: company data with a published price
Crunchbase API pricing is not public: the API page offers "Explore API Pricing" and "Talk to Sales". Of the data feeds in this list, only Coresignal prices its records in the open.
| API option | Price as published | Cost per record |
| Crunchbase API | "Talk to Sales"; enterprise contracts from $50,000+ a year per Vendr | Not published |
| Coresignal | Starter $199 a month for 12,000 credits; Growth $0.007 a credit | Company record about $0.33 (Starter) or $0.14 (Growth); found email about $0.17 or $0.07 |
| Harmonic API and Bulk data | "Get pricing"; financing and investor data as an add-on | Not published |
| PitchBook Direct Data | Add-on, quoted | Not published |
| CB Insights Data Solutions | "Request pricing" | Not published |
| Spona | API access advertised on the Expert plan | Bulk leads $0.01 to $0.09 each |
The per-record costs are computed from Coresignal's pricing page. Price the exact fields you need before you sign.
Free Crunchbase alternatives: free plans, trials and public filings
No tool here gives funding and contact data away without limits, so in practice a free Crunchbase alternative is a free plan, a credit allowance or a trial. Spona, Apollo.io and Coresignal have free plans or free credits; most of the others offer a trial. Funding news is also free at the source: SEC Form D filings in the US and Companies House filings in the UK, which our guide to finding recently funded startups walks through.
| Option | What is free | The limit |
| Crunchbase Pro | 7-day free trial | No exports during the trial |
| Spona | Free plan with sample leads, venture data included | No fixed free lead allowance stated |
| Apollo.io | Free plan | Limits on Apollo's pricing page |
| Coresignal | 2,000 free credits; 7-day trial | About 100 full company records |
| Dealroom | 3-day trial, no card required | 50 export credits |
| CB Insights | 10-day free trial | Ends after 10 days |
| ZoomInfo | Free trial | Plans are quoted afterwards |
| LinkedIn Sales Navigator | Free trial | Members without a paid plan or a trial in the past 365 days |
| Harmonic | MCP trial credits | No free plan |
| SEC Form D, Companies House | Public filings | No contacts; manual research |
A 7-day Crunchbase trial without exports suits research, not list building, so start it when you already know which accounts you want to check.
Crunchbase vs Spona: where Spona fits, and where it does not
Crunchbase sells research seats: company rows, funding history and alerts, with no email allowance described. Spona sells the people behind those companies, verified. For outreach to newly funded companies, this is what Spona data holds:
| Funded in previous 12 months (by company HQ) | Companies | Verified contacts |
| United States | 12,000 | 48,000 |
| United Kingdom | 3,500 | 14,000 |
| Germany | 1,800 | 7,200 |
| France | 1,500 | 6,000 |
| All four countries | 18,800 | 75,200 |

The snapshot shows about 4 verified contacts per funded company in each country. In a 1,000-account sample, 85% of matched funded accounts had at least one verified decision-maker email, and across Spona's checks, hard bounces on verified sends ran at 1.525%. For UK, German and French contacts: Buying a B2B list does not grant permission to email it; establish a lawful basis for personal data processing, meet transparency and objection duties, and follow the recipient country's electronic marketing rules, including prior consent where required.
Where Spona fits: an SDR team that knows its market and needs the people. As an illustration of cost, three Crunchbase Pro seats on monthly billing cost $3,564 a year; at $0.32 to $4 per qualified lead, the same budget buys about 890 to 11,100 Spona leads, plus $8 to $10 in setup credits per ideal customer profile. The two buy different things, so compare cost per usable contact, not per seat. One founder described the appeal to Spona: "We wanted to test a sample and pay for the data we needed before making a larger commitment."
Where it does not: Spona is not a funding database. Its funding records hold seven core fields (round type, amount, currency, announcement date, investors, source URL and last checked date), none of them a valuation. Across 10,000 deduplicated company records, the latest funding round is filled for 8%, funding date for 8% and investor names for 7%, counted over all companies rather than funded ones only, and coverage is not confirmed for every funding stage. If your job is investor research, keep Crunchbase or pick a database from the list above.
