Demandbase Competitors and Alternatives: Who's Actually Left in 2026

Half the names on most Demandbase competitor lists have changed. Terminus merged into DemandScience on November 12, 2024. RollWorks is now sold as AdRoll ABM, and RevenueFlow found that rollworks.com redirects to AdRoll. Dealfront has rebranded back to Leadfeeder, as its pricing page now announces. If you're comparing alternatives from a list written before 2025, you may be evaluating products that no longer exist under those names.

Demandbase itself publishes no prices. Its pricing page describes a platform fee plus a flat fee per user, and Vendr's data puts the median contract at $68,591 a year. This guide covers the competitors that are actually still on the market, what each is best for, and how to choose.

What type of company is Demandbase?

Demandbase is an account-based marketing (ABM) and go-to-market platform. Its main product, Demandbase One, combines account identification, intent data, B2B advertising, sales intelligence and data in one platform for marketing and sales. Demandbase says it doesn't sell separate Marketing or Sales editions, although Advertising and Data can be bought as starting points.

Its biggest differentiator is advertising. On its ZoomInfo comparison page, Demandbase says it runs the only mature demand-side platform (DSP) built specifically for B2B ads, sources more than 1 trillion intent signals a month from that DSP and tracks over 575,000 intent keywords. Those are Demandbase's own claims, but they explain why it competes most directly with other ad-led ABM platforms.

Why teams look for a Demandbase alternative

  • Price and per-user fees. Every additional user adds to the bill, so teams often limit access. Salesmotion also cites Capterra reviewers reporting onboarding fees around $29,000.
  • Operating effort. The platform works best with a dedicated ABM or marketing operations owner.
  • Accounts, not people. ContactLevel, which sells contact-level ad targeting, argues Demandbase raises bids for target accounts rather than reaching the specific named buyers.
  • You may already own ABM tools. HubSpot and Salesforce both include account-based features in higher tiers.

The best Demandbase competitors and alternatives

1. 6sense: the closest like-for-like competitor

6sense covers the same ground: account identification, intent, predictive scoring, advertising and sales intelligence. Its core strength is predictive buying-stage modeling, while Demandbase's is native advertising. Their prices are close: Vendr's median for 6sense is $62,440 a year. Note that 6sense discontinued its free plan in August 2026; see our 6sense pricing guide for details.

Best for: enterprise teams that value predictive scoring over ad execution.

2. DemandScience (formerly Terminus): data plus services

The merged company combines Terminus's ABM platform with DemandScience's data, content syndication and demand generation services. Its announcement describes an account-based experience platform and a global audience of more than 225 million IT decision-makers. DemandScience now positions itself against the platform model: its Platform Tax manifesto argues companies should pay for outcomes rather than software seats.

Price: not published. Best for: teams that lack people to run an ABM platform and would rather buy execution.

3. AdRoll ABM (formerly RollWorks): ad-led ABM

AdRoll's pricing page lists four ABM packages: Account-Based Advertising, Account-Based Marketing plus Advertising, Account-Based Marketing, and Account-Based Retargeting. Three require a demo. The fourth, Account-Based Retargeting, has no fee to get started and charges only for media.

Best for: mid-market teams whose ABM is mainly advertising.

4. ZoomInfo: contact data first

ZoomInfo approaches the category from contact data, with intent signals, website visitor tracking and sales engagement added on. ZoomInfo's own overview of Demandbase frames the choice by bottleneck: Demandbase for coordinating campaigns and advertising, ZoomInfo for reaching the right people with accurate contact data. Vendr's median for ZoomInfo is about $33,500 a year; see our ZoomInfo pricing guide.

Best for: sales-led teams that need verified contacts more than ad orchestration.

5. HubSpot ABM tools: already in your CRM

If you have Marketing Hub or Sales Hub Professional or Enterprise, HubSpot's ABM tools are included. You get buying role, target account and ideal customer profile tier properties, ready-made account segments, LinkedIn company audience sync and an account overview, which requires a Sales Hub Professional or Enterprise seat.

Best for: HubSpot customers starting ABM without another contract.

6. Salesforce Marketing Cloud Account Engagement: published enterprise pricing

Salesforce is the rare enterprise option with a public price list. Its Account Engagement pricing starts at $1,250 per org a month billed annually, and the $2,750 Plus+ edition adds account-based marketing and analytics.

Best for: Salesforce shops that want ABM inside their existing marketing automation.

7. Leadfeeder (formerly Dealfront): website visitor identification

If your main use of Demandbase is knowing which companies visit your site, Leadfeeder covers that for far less. Its free Lite plan shows the last 100 identified companies a month with 7 days of history. Paid plans start at €79 a month billed annually, and the Activate plan adds verified contacts, intent filters and B2B display campaigns from €369 a month.

Best for: teams with steady website traffic, especially in Europe.

8. Bombora: intent data on its own

Bombora sells intent data from a publisher co-op that you plug into your existing tools. That's a different source from Demandbase's DSP-based signals, and Bombora contrasts its co-op data with bidstream data directly. Our guide to buyer intent data explains the trade-offs.

Best for: teams that already have a CRM, automation and ad tools and just want signals.

9. Spona: verified leads instead of a platform

Spona gives you verified, reachable contacts at accounts that fit, without an annual platform contract. You describe your ideal customer and buying signals in a chat, and Spona's AI mines 40+ data sources, validates each lead and scores it with the reasoning behind the match.

Best for: teams that need a defined account list and people to contact more than ad orchestration.

Demandbase vs. Terminus: what that comparison means now

"Demandbase vs Terminus" is still a common search, and Demandbase still publishes a comparison page against Terminus, as RevenueFlow points out. But since the merger, the real comparison is Demandbase against DemandScience. The difference is less about features than about what you're buying. With Demandbase, you license a platform and staff it yourself. With DemandScience, the Terminus platform comes alongside data, content syndication and campaign services, so part of the operating work is done for you. If your problem is that nobody on your team has time to run an ABM platform, that distinction matters more than any feature grid.

When Demandbase is still the right choice

Demandbase tends to earn its price when:

  • Account-based advertising is a primary channel with a real media budget.
  • You run programs across hundreds or thousands of target accounts.
  • You have a dedicated ABM or marketing operations owner.
  • You want advertising, website personalization and sales insights tied to one account view.

If none of those describe you, one of the alternatives above will usually deliver more for less.

Three lighter stacks that replace most of Demandbase

You don't always need one platform. Three combinations cover the most common jobs:

  1. For HubSpot teams: HubSpot ABM tools for target accounts and buying roles, Leadfeeder for website visitors and Spona for verified contacts at those accounts.
  2. For ad-led teams: AdRoll ABM for account-based ads, with Bombora intent data deciding which accounts get the budget.
  3. For sales-led teams: a defined account list, verified decision-makers from Spona and a sequencing tool for outreach, with no ABM platform at all.

Each costs a fraction of an enterprise ABM contract, and you can add pieces as your program grows.

What are the key differences between ZoomInfo and Demandbase?

They solve different problems. Demandbase is built around account-based orchestration and native B2B advertising, with intent drawn largely from its own ad platform. ZoomInfo is built around a large contact database for sales prospecting, with intent and engagement tools layered on. If your bottleneck is reaching the right people with accurate emails and phone numbers, ZoomInfo fits better. If it's coordinating campaigns and ads across target accounts, Demandbase does. Some teams use both, with ZoomInfo feeding contact data into Demandbase.

How to choose a Demandbase alternative

Decision guide: 6sense for like-for-like ABM, DemandScience for outsourced execution, AdRoll ABM for ads on a budget, HubSpot or Salesforce for ABM in your CRM, Leadfeeder for visitor identification, Spona for verified people at target accounts
How to choose a Demandbase alternative. Source: SPONA
  1. Count your target accounts. Ad-led ABM struggles with small lists. RevenueFlow notes LinkedIn requires company lists to match at least 300 member accounts before ads can run.
  2. Name the job you're short of: data, signals, ads or orchestration. Buy that directly before buying a suite.
  3. Check what you already own. HubSpot Professional and Salesforce Account Engagement Plus+ include ABM features many teams leave unused.
  4. Compare how the bill grows. Demandbase grows with users, AdRoll's retargeting with media spend, and DemandScience with services delivered. Pick the model that fits how you'll scale.

Questions to ask on the first sales call

  • What is the platform fee before any users are added?
  • Which intent data is your own, and which is resold from partners?
  • What is the minimum contract term, and what is the cancellation notice period?
  • What would the price be at twice today's number of users?

Spona: from target account to conversation

ABM platforms tell you which accounts to pursue. Spona finds the people at those accounts and gets you to a first conversation.

  • Plain-language targeting: describe your ideal customer in a chat and get leads in about 4 minutes.
  • Verified and scored: Spona states its leads are 95% accurate, with reasoning behind every match.
  • Pay as you go: free samples, a per-lead price and a market size analysis first. Credits cost $0.008 to $0.01, so bulk leads come to about $0.01 to $0.09 each and qualified, scored leads about $0.32 to $4.00.
  • Proven results: Qonto saw an 80% higher connect rate and Kaiko a 65% higher connect rate after switching to Spona data, and Zizr tripled its outbound demo bookings.
