6sense vs ZoomInfo (2026): Which One Do You Actually Need?

Publish date: Oct 16, 2026
ZoomInfo is the better fit if your bottleneck is knowing who to contact. 6sense is the better fit if your bottleneck is knowing which accounts are in-market and you have someone to run a predictive platform. They overlap less than their marketing suggests, ZoomInfo's median contract is roughly half of 6sense's, and several widely repeated claims about the two are out of date.
We compared both using procurement data, the vendors' own product and pricing pages, and ZoomInfo's SEC filings, and flagged where popular comparison articles get the facts wrong.
The short answer
- Choose ZoomInfo if your team runs outbound, needs verified emails and direct dials at volume, and wants to be productive in weeks rather than quarters.
- Choose 6sense if you run account-based marketing (ABM) against a defined market, have clean closed-won and closed-lost history to train its models, and can assign a RevOps owner.
- Choose both only if you're an enterprise with separate budgets for contact data and ABM orchestration.
- Choose neither (yet) if you mainly need a list of qualified leads to test an outbound motion.

What each platform is built to do
The simplest framing comes from Parsley: ZoomInfo is a contact and company database with intent layered on top, while 6sense is a predictive intent model with contact data layered on top. Both sell "buyer intent," but they start from opposite ends.
ZoomInfo is built around search and export. Reps filter by industry, title, company size and technology, then pull verified emails and phone numbers into their CRM or sequencer. Its pricing page shows intent signals and website visitor identification sitting in higher tiers such as Copilot Advanced and Copilot Enterprise, with separate marketing packages for advertising and ABM.
6sense is built around prioritization. Its intent data page describes tracking custom keywords in more than 40 languages, matching anonymous web traffic to accounts, and using its 6AI engine to place each account in a buying stage. 6sense also sells company and people search, but contact data isn't why teams buy it.
Pricing: ZoomInfo costs about half as much
Neither vendor publishes list prices. The most reliable public benchmark is procurement data from Vendr:
- ZoomInfo: Vendr reports a median of $33,500 a year across 1,574 purchases, ranging from $7,220 to $155,730, with buyers saving 22% on average.
- 6sense: Vendr reports a median of $62,440 across 385 purchases, from about $11,400 to $176,800, with 17% average savings.

So the median 6sense contract is about 1.9 times ZoomInfo's. ZoomInfo's sample is also four times larger, which suggests it sells much further down-market.
What stacks on top differs. ZoomInfo's pricing page says each export costs one credit and that its Streaming Intent add-on is priced by the number of keywords and accounts you track. Vendr adds that intent is either an add-on or reserved for higher tiers, and that ZoomInfo contracts often include 5–10% annual price escalators. 6sense costs concentrate in modules, credits and advertising, as covered in our 6sense pricing guide. For ZoomInfo's credit mechanics, see our ZoomInfo pricing breakdown.
Treat precise tier prices with caution. Several comparison posts publish ZoomInfo tier ladders, such as "Professional from $14,995," but Parsley notes these appear only on competitor marketing pages and that the figures they cite don't match their own sources.
Intent data: built in completely different ways
This is the real technical difference, and most comparisons skip it.
ZoomInfo builds its own intent. Its intent page says signals come from a network of 210 million IP-to-organization pairings and more than 6 trillion new keyword-to-device pairings each month, sourced from over 90% of accessible US devices. According to Parsley, this capability came from ZoomInfo's acquisition of Clickagy in October 2020. ZoomInfo now also offers Person-Level Intent, which names the individuals inside an account who show signals.
6sense mixes its own network with partner data. Alongside its native keyword tracking, 6sense lists partnerships with Bombora, TechTarget, TrustRadius and G2, then layers predictive buying-stage scores on top.
The trade-off: ZoomInfo's intent is exclusive but comes from one collection method, while part of 6sense's intent is co-op data competitors can also buy. Both were named Leaders in Forrester's Q1 2025 Wave for B2B intent data providers, so neither is a weak option.

Five claims about 6sense vs ZoomInfo that don't hold up
We checked the most repeated claims against primary sources.
| Claim | Where it appears | What primary sources show |
| ZoomInfo's intent comes from Bombora | Tomba (May 2026) | Core intent is its own network; the Bombora partnership ended in early 2020 (ZoomInfo) |
| 6sense has a free plan with 50 credits a month | LeadHaste (Sep 2026), Miniloop | Free plan discontinued Aug 12, 2026 (6sense RevCity) |
| ZoomInfo has no free trial | Tomba | Free trial plus a free Lite tier (Parsley, Salesmotion) |
| Vendr medians are ~$55,000 (6sense) and $31,875 (ZoomInfo) | Miniloop; LeadHaste | Vendr now shows $62,440 and $33,500 |
| 6sense owns no contact data | Miniloop | 6sense sells company and people search and B2B buyer data (6sense) |
The Bombora claim is the most persistent. Tomba's May 2026 comparison says ZoomInfo's intent comes through a Bombora partnership. But ZoomInfo's own press release says their revenue-sharing agreement terminated in early 2020, the June 2022 lawsuit settlement didn't restore the partnership, and ZoomInfo's intent page describes its own network. Buska makes the same correction. One caveat: a May 2026 post on ZoomInfo's own blog lists ZoomInfo among tools where Bombora data is used, so if Bombora topics matter to you, ask your rep what your package includes.
Older price figures also circulate. Warmly's comparison cites Vendr averages of $123,711 for 6sense and $85,781 for ZoomInfo, while LeadHaste's September 2026 update quotes a ZoomInfo median of $31,875. Miniloop puts 6sense's Vendr median at around $55,000. None matches Vendr's current pages.
Contact data and outbound
For outbound, ZoomInfo wins clearly. Its database, phone coverage and integrations with sales engagement tools are its core product, and even 6sense-friendly reviews concede the point. Vector rates ZoomInfo's contact data "extensive" and 6sense's "limited."
One caution: database size claims vary wildly. Comparisons cite ZoomInfo at 260 million, 320 million, 500 million and 600 million+ contacts. Ignore the headline number and ask for counts and bounce rates inside your own ideal customer profile. Our list of ZoomInfo alternatives covers cheaper contact databases if coverage is all you need.
6sense's contact data works for prioritizing and enriching accounts it has already flagged. Teams that buy 6sense expecting a ZoomInfo replacement for cold outreach are usually disappointed.
Free plans and trials
ZoomInfo offers a free trial with a business email and no credit card, according to Parsley, and Salesmotion notes ZoomInfo Lite, a permanent free tier with 10 credits a month. Tomba's table saying ZoomInfo offers no free trial is wrong.
6sense no longer has a free plan. It discontinued its Sales Intelligence free plan on August 12, 2026, although its site navigation still invites visitors to "get started for free." Comparisons from LeadHaste and Miniloop still describe a free tier with 50 credits a month.
Vendor stability and contract risk
ZoomInfo is public, so its changes are on record. In a May 2026 SEC filing, it disclosed a restructuring of roughly 600 employees, about 20% of headcount, with $45–60 million in charges. CEO Henry Schuck's memo to staff said ZoomInfo is moving upmarket, reducing the resources it allocates downmarket and responding to a shift toward consumption-based pricing.
That matters if you're a smaller team: ask how support and pricing will work for accounts your size. As Parsley points out, 6sense is private and discloses none of this, so silence isn't evidence of stability.
What reviewers say
ZoomInfo's pricing page shows a 4.5 rating from 9,384 G2 reviews. 6sense's main marketing product holds 4.2 from 1,561 reviews on G2. The complaints follow each product's design:
- ZoomInfo: reviews quoted by Warmly mention outdated phone numbers and a poor fit for teams selling to small businesses, with one reviewer saying they were told so only after asking to cancel.
- 6sense: reviewers mention limited persona targeting without true title matching, restrictive data exports and extra costs for exporting more ad segments.
Neither set of complaints is a dealbreaker on its own. Each tells you where to push hardest in a pilot.
How to choose

Ask these questions before either demo:
- Do we know who to contact, or which accounts to prioritize? Contacts point to ZoomInfo. Prioritization points to 6sense.
- Who will run it? 6sense needs an owner for models, segments and integrations. ZoomInfo needs less ongoing configuration.
- How long can we wait for value? ZoomInfo users can export contacts in the first week. 6sense's predictive scores need time and CRM history to calibrate.
- What renewal terms will we accept? Get escalator caps and credit rollover in writing.
Can you use both?
Yes. Many enterprises use 6sense to decide which accounts to work and ZoomInfo to find the people inside them. That stack starts near $96,000 a year at the two Vendr medians, before add-ons. It only makes sense when marketing and sales both act on the signals and you have the operations capacity to keep both platforms clean.
When neither fits: Spona
Both platforms are built for teams with five-figure budgets and an operator. If your bottleneck is getting verified leads in front of reps, Spona is a lighter way in. It doesn't replace 6sense's predictive scoring or ZoomInfo's full database, but it gets an outbound motion running without an annual contract:
- Chat to leads in about 4 minutes: describe your ideal customer and Spona's AI mines 40+ data sources to build a verified, scored list.
- Signal leads: target companies showing triggers such as funding or hiring, from 100–500 credits per lead.
- No contracts or setup: self-serve, with free samples and per-lead pricing before you buy.
- Verified data: Spona's AI cuts lead research time by 90% and states its leads are 95% accurate.
- Proven results: Qonto saw an 80% higher connect rate and Zizr tripled its outbound demo bookings.
Many teams start with Spona to prove outbound works, then add a database or ABM platform once they know what to scale.

FAQ
Is 6sense better than ZoomInfo?
Neither is better overall. ZoomInfo is stronger for finding and contacting people. 6sense is stronger for predicting which accounts are in-market and orchestrating ABM campaigns around them.
Which is cheaper, 6sense or ZoomInfo?
ZoomInfo. Vendr data puts the median ZoomInfo contract at $33,500 a year and the median 6sense contract at $62,440, so 6sense typically costs about twice as much. Neither publishes list prices.
Does ZoomInfo use Bombora intent data?
Not for its core intent product. ZoomInfo's intent comes from its own network, and its revenue-sharing agreement with Bombora ended in early 2020. ZoomInfo's own 2026 blog does list ZoomInfo among tools using Bombora data, so confirm with your rep. 6sense lists Bombora as a partner source.
Does 6sense have contact data?
Yes, 6sense offers company and people search and contact data. But it's secondary to its intent and predictive features, and most reviewers rate ZoomInfo's contact coverage as far deeper.
Can you try 6sense or ZoomInfo for free?
ZoomInfo offers a free trial and a free Lite tier with limited credits. 6sense discontinued its Sales Intelligence free plan on August 12, 2026, so evaluating it requires a sales-led demo.
Which has better intent data, 6sense or ZoomInfo?
It depends on what you need. 6sense combines its own keyword tracking with partner sources and predictive buying stages. ZoomInfo's intent is exclusive to ZoomInfo and can name individuals, which helps reps act faster.
Can you use 6sense and ZoomInfo together?
Yes. A common setup uses 6sense to flag in-market accounts and ZoomInfo to supply contacts. Expect a combined spend near $96,000 a year at median prices.
