Cognism doesn't publish its prices, but Vendr's data puts the median Cognism contract at $32,750 a year, across 94 purchases ranging from $16,585 to $88,449, as reported in September 2026. Every deal is quoted by a sales rep and built around a package, a number of seats and a credit allowance.

This guide explains Cognism's two current plans, how its credits work, what each contact really costs, the extra costs to plan for and how Cognism compares with ZoomInfo and pay-as-you-go alternatives. Plan details come from Cognism's pricing page, checked in October 2026.

Cognism pricing at a glance (2026)

Cognism sells two sales prospecting packages, Standard and Pro. Both include five seats, and both are quote-only:

PackageSeatsCredits per user a yearWhat it includesReported price (5 seats)
Standard5 included10,000Emails, mobiles, company and tech data, AI research, API, CSV enrichment~$15,000 a year
Pro5 included12,000Adds higher-quality mobiles, on-demand verification, intent data~$25,000-$30,000 a year
CRM EnrichmentAdd-onSame credit poolAutomatic CRM enrichment and maintenanceQuote

Buyer-reported figures put a five-seat Standard package around $15,000 a year and Pro around $25,000 to $30,000 a year. Treat these as starting points: seats beyond five, extra credits and add-ons all raise the final price.

How Cognism credits work

Cognism meters usage in credits, and the rules are simple:

  • One credit reveals one contact. Revealing, enriching or exporting a contact uses a credit.
  • Viewing again is free. You aren't charged for contacts you've already revealed.
  • One pool across products. The same credits work in the prospecting platform, Cognism Enrich and the API.
  • Allowance per seat. According to Cognism's own comparison page, Standard includes 10,000 credits per user a year and Pro includes 12,000. Extra credits can be bought at any time.

That allowance makes it possible to estimate a cost per contact. A five-seat Standard package includes 50,000 credits a year. At about $15,000, that works out to roughly $0.30 per contact if you use every credit. A five-seat Pro package includes 60,000 credits, so at $25,000 to $30,000 it comes to roughly $0.42 to $0.50 per contact. Use fewer credits, and the real cost per contact rises.

What services does Cognism provide?

Cognism is more than a contact database. Depending on your package, you get:

  • A prospecting platform for searching and filtering companies and contacts, with AI account research and AI search.
  • A browser extension that reveals contact details while you browse LinkedIn and company websites.
  • Cognism Enrich for enriching CSV files and, with the add-on, keeping CRM records up to date.
  • MCP and API access for pulling Cognism data into your own tools and AI agents.
  • Mobile verification and intent data on Pro, for teams that call a lot and want to prioritize accounts showing buying intent.

What each Cognism plan includes

Standard

Standard is built for core prospecting. It includes contact and company data with emails, mobile numbers, job titles and work history, list building with firmographic, technographic and signal-based filters, AI account research, MCP and API access, and CSV export and enrichment. Five seats are included.

Pro

Pro adds what calling-heavy teams care about most: higher-quality mobile data, on-demand mobile verification and buying intent data to prioritize accounts. Cognism also lists company hierarchies among Pro's advanced capabilities. Five seats are included.

CRM Enrichment add-on

Both packages can add CRM Enrichment, which automatically enriches and maintains your CRM records using the same credit pool. It's priced separately.

What teams actually pay for Cognism

Cognism's quotes vary widely with team size and options, which is why public figures differ. Three reference points help:

  • Vendr's median: $32,750 a year across 94 purchases, with a range from $16,585 to $88,449.
  • Entry package: buyers report about $15,000 a year for five seats on Standard.
  • Pro package: buyers report about $25,000 to $30,000 a year for five seats.

Larger teams with more seats, extra credits, intent topics and CRM Enrichment regularly sit well above the median. Cognism also has a track record worth noting on the customer side: it says it's trusted by more than 4,000 companies and shows a 4.5 out of 5 rating on G2.

What Cognism costs by team size

Because both packages include five seats, the effective price per user depends heavily on your team size:

  • Teams smaller than five still pay for a five-seat package. A two-person team on Standard at about $15,000 a year effectively pays around $7,500 per active user.
  • A five-person team gets the most out of the package: about $3,000 per user a year on Standard, or $5,000 to $6,000 per user on Pro, at the buyer-reported prices.
  • Teams larger than five pay for extra seats on top of the package. Cognism doesn't publish that price, so ask for it explicitly and compare it with the cost of adding seats elsewhere.

If your team is small or prospects only occasionally, the five-seat structure is the single biggest reason to look at pay-as-you-go alternatives.

For comparison, Apollo's published plans start at $49 per user a month on yearly billing, and Lusha's Starter plan costs $37.45 a month.

The hidden costs of Cognism

The package price is only part of the total. Plan for these as well:

  1. Seats beyond five. Both packages include five seats, but Cognism doesn't publish the price of a sixth.
  2. Extra credits. Teams that reveal more than their allowance buy top-ups.
  3. CRM Enrichment. Automatic CRM enrichment is a separate add-on.
  4. Intent topics. Third-party pricing analyses report extra intent topics beyond the included set at roughly $1,600 to $6,000 a year.
  5. Annual, prepaid terms. Buyers report that Cognism contracts are annual and prepaid, with no monthly option, and that renewal increases are common unless capped in the contract.

Is Cognism worth it?

Cognism is worth it for teams that cold call into the UK and Europe, need compliant data with a clear GDPR position, and will use most of their credits every year. For those teams, the quality of mobile data often justifies the premium.

It's harder to justify if your team is smaller than five people, prospects mainly by email, sells mostly into North America or needs data on niche segments such as local businesses or e-commerce stores. In those cases, you pay for seats and credits you won't fully use. Our comparison of the best B2B data providers covers the alternatives by use case.

Compliance is a large part of the value for European teams, because the GDPR applies to the personal data of the people you contact, including business contacts.

How to negotiate a better Cognism deal

If you decide to buy, these steps usually improve the deal:

  • Test before you sign. Ask for a data sample on your own target accounts and check email and phone accuracy.
  • Size seats to real users. Five seats are included, so don't add more until you've confirmed who will use them.
  • Model your credit use. Estimate how many contacts you'll reveal per month and negotiate the allowance accordingly.
  • Cap renewal increases and get the renewal terms in writing.
  • Price add-ons separately, so you can drop CRM Enrichment or extra intent topics at renewal if they don't pay off.

A pay-as-you-go alternative: Spona

If a five-seat annual package doesn't fit how your team buys data, Spona works differently. You describe your ideal customer in a chat, and Spona's AI mines 40+ data sources, verifies every lead across its digital footprint and delivers a scored list in about four minutes, with free samples before you buy.

Spona charges per lead in credits that cost $0.008 to $0.01 each depending on your plan, and the price depends on how specific the lead is:

  • Bulk leads: 1 to 9 credits, or about $0.01 to $0.09 per lead.
  • Enrichment: 1 to 30 credits per record, or about $0.01 to $0.30.
  • Instant leads: a fixed 100 credits, or about $0.80 to $1.00.
  • Qualified and scored leads: 40 to 400 credits, or about $0.32 to $4.00.
  • Qualified, scored and signal-based leads: 100 to 500 credits, or about $0.80 to $5.00.

You pay for the leads you take rather than for a five-seat annual package, and self-serve plans are billed monthly or yearly. Spona also covers local businesses, Shopify stores and venture-backed companies, and its customers report results on the phone: Qonto saw an 80% higher connect rate and Kaiko a 65% higher connect rate after switching to Spona data.
